The group exhibition "Pocket Universe: The Politics of (Im)Possibilities" opened on January 27, at THIS IS NOT A WHITE CUBE Gallery, in Luanda, marking the opening of the gallery's annual program. The curator of the exhibition, Jamil "Parasol" Osmal, seeks to incorporate new works, reflecting the notion of human interaction. "Pocket Universe: The Politics of (Im)Possibilities" proposes to explore the moments of connection and collision that characterize the encounters intrinsic to the human experience. It includes works by Pedro Pires, Rómulo Santa Rita, Luís Damião, Benigno Nsito, Mariana Dias Coutinho, Stephané E. Conradie, Uolofe, Sapate, Mumpasi Meso and Osvaldo Ferreira. Jamil "Parasol" Osmar is a curator, artist, teacher and designer. His activity aims to promote Angolan artists as well as his own work. L’exposition collective « Univers de Poche : La Politique des (Im)Possibilités » a été inaugurée le 27 Janvier, à la Galerie THIS IS NOT A WHITE CUBE, à Luanda, marquant l’ouverture du programme annuel de la galerie. Le curateur de l’exposition, Jamil « Parasol » Osmal, cherche à y intégrer des œuvres inédites, reflétant la notion d’interaction humaine. « Univers de Poche : La Politique des (Im)Possibilités » propose d’explorer les moments de connexion et de collision qui caractérisent les rencontres intrinsèques à l’expérience humaine. Elle comprend des œuvres de Pedro Pires, Rómulo Santa Rita, Luís Damião, Benigno Nsito, Mariana Dias Coutinho, Stephané E. Conradie, Uolofe, Sapate, Mumpasi Meso et Osvaldo Ferreira. Jamil “Parasol” Osmar est curateur, artiste, professeur et designer. Son activité vise à promouvoir des artistes angolais ainsi que son propre travail. Jamil “Parasol” Osmar é curador, artista, professor e designer. O seu trabalhado tem procurado promover artistas angolanos e o seu trabalho. Integra, desde 2023, equipa da THIS IS NOT A WHITE CUBE, em Luanda, como curador residente.
